BIOGRAPHY:  The Life of Tasued Hero Humble Tee-Jay

Com. Fashina Olatunji David p.k.a Humble Teejay was born on the 3rd day of July 1989, at Massey General Hospital in Lagos Island into the family of Mr & Mrs Fashina. He was the first child and son of the family, had two younger brothers namely Fashina Olanrewaju Method and Fashina Anuoluwapo Daniel.
EDUCATIONAL CAREER: Humble Teejay has fondly called by his friends and colleagues started his pre-school in Ajegunle, a suburb area of Lagos State. He attended Gospel Nursery and Primary School, Ajegunle and moved to Topfield College for Elementary Education and ended at Unity Senior High School where he obtained his first school leaving certificate.

As a young and ambitious youngster,  he applied to further his education and was offered admission to study Social Work and Community Development at The Premier Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun in the year 2008. But untimely death caught up and took him in his fourth year in school.
SERVICE TO HUMANITY: Fashina Olatunji David, was a dedicated and an astute lover of humanitarianism and selfless services. He started his humanitarianism at a very young age during his primary school days where he first pledged as a member of the Nigerian Red Cross Society. During his time at Nigerian Red cross Society, he was the school Council Coordinator of Nigeria Red Cross, Ajegunle Division and also won many awards and accolades, most notably was in the year 2002, when there was a bomb blast at Ikeja cantonment of the Nigeria Army, and also in the same year, saved two lives who were involved in a ghastly auto-crash at Ajegunle.

His love and passion for humanity was not a mere coincidence has he was a member of several Humanitarian, Health and Pressure Groups in Nigeria and Globally.

Notably, he was a member of Society for Family Health (SFH), National Agency for Control of AIDS (NACA), Clean Up the World, Australia, Rotary Club of Apapa, Nigeria.

During his universities days, he was a Crusader of Justice and Progress, an enumerate Students’ Union Leader in Ogun State.

He was a past president of Rotaract Club of TASUED and also the founder of Career Builders’ Initiative. A legacy that still lives on under the leadership of his immediate younger brother, Fashina Olanrewaju Method.

 

HIS ABRUPT DEATH: Fashina Olatunji David on the 14th day of February, 2012, joined so many TASUEDites and gallant comrades on the Journey to Governor’s office Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, to protest against the proposed merging/scrapping of Tai-Solarin University of Education by the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

On that fateful day, the bus conveying Humble Teejay and some notable executive members of the students’ union had a fatal accident and Humble Teejay was rushed to the Federal Medical Center (F.M.C) Abeokuta where he gave up the ghost.

After the death of Humble Teejay, the proposed scrapping was amended by the Ogun State House of Assembly and a High Court sitting in Abeokuta.
Tasued lives on; Our Hero lives on……Sun ree oooo.
